The SPA areas of Romania represent an important competitive advantage, but insufficiently valorized. In order to become competitive in this area, there are a number of challenges we need to find solutions for.
The competitive balneal areas have found such solutions becoming important tourist and economic attraction points. How did they do it? What management changes within the local operators sustained that development? What strategic alliances did they develop? What is the role of clusters and other local economic sectors? What is the role of local and central authorities? Do the research and universities play any role? What do we know about wellness and SPA tourism marketing? Why don’t we promote the water and the wealth from the medical point of view? Positioning and competition within medical tourism.
The Center USH Pro Business with Employers’ Organization of Spa Tourism (OPTBR) organize on the 17th of May at 10:00 a workshop on ‘’Perspectives of Spa Industry in Romania’’, event that is part of the program ’’Joint Business Support’’. This workshop aims to find the best solutions to the many challenges this industry faces and also to promote an quality image of the spa industry.
For this event, the targeted participants are the following: tourism and personal development operators, public and local authorities, cluster or network managers, hospitals managers, spa centers, wellness & anti-aging and other entities interested in the promotion of spa tourism.
